AARP takes an interest in the race

I received an invitation yesterday from the AARP Chapter 475 Hattiesburg. The forum will take place on October 24 at 1:30 pm at the Sigler Building. The local media outlets have all been invited, and each candidate will be allowed time to speak. Unopposed candidates will be given an opportunity to make a brief statement, while candidates in contested races are allowed five minutes for a campaign speech.

In other campaign news, fundraising is progressing slowly but steadily. I fear we won't raise enough money to make a substantial number of yard signs, so we may just go the handbill route.
